Frearsons Family Law Solicitors Skegness - Legal Help
We have a contract with the legal services commission and are able to offer Legal Help to those on benefits or a low income under the Legal Help scheme.
You may be eligible and we will be happy to discuss this with you and assess your eligibility. We can, if you qualify financially, deal with your divorce under the scheme. You will then automatically be exempt from paying several hundred pounds in court fees in relation to your divorce.
Phone us on: 01754 897600 or
Out-of-Hours: O7880 506601
To qualify you must have a low income or be receiving Income Support or Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, and you must not have large savings - more people qualify than you might think.
Legal Help is not available to enable a solicitor to represent you at court but may enable us to advise you in the office or to deal with your divorce proceedings.
We can usually, if you qualify financially, at least offer preliminary advice under the scheme.
We will be happy to assess whether you are eligible without charge.
It is helpful if you can bring to your first appointment documents to enable us to assess if you qualify. Your last pay slip, your most recent bank statement and a letter from the benefits agency if appropriate is usually enough.
Do not worry if you can’t provide the documents because of domestic violence or other exceptional circumstances as we may be able to help any way. Please ask.
We can offer you initial advice in relation to other family matters and negotiate on your behalf. We will also assist you in applying for a full legal aid certificate should it be necessary to go to court.
We will explain this to you in detail at your appointment.
Frearsons Family Law Solicitors can help you with cases including child residence, child custody, child contact, child access, child support, child abuse, adoption, separation agreements, civil partnerships, domestic violence, common law marriages or divorces. |
